Do I have to pay any commission when I purchase my home?

In general NO. When buying real estate in Colorado it is customary that the seller of the property is paying the involved real estate agents. The sales commission is negotiated at the time of entering into a listing agreement. The buyer of Colorado real estate is not responsible for any sales commission. As the buyer you will face potential financing charges of your lender and the customary closing costs but no sales commission charges.
The sales commission the seller has negotiated with the listing agent covers both the listing agent’s commission and the commission for the selling broker (representing the buyer in the transaction). |
