Do the appliances stay when a home is sold?

|
It depends. Appliances that are fixtures of the house will need to stay unless excluded from the sale of the property. Fixtures are all items that are permanently affixed to the house. If the cannot be removed without altering or damaging the home they probably are fixtures. Now that microwave that was placed onto the countertop is not a fixture. If you expected that to stay then it would be wise to include a statement to that effect in the contract. The same is true for washer/dryer. Good real estate contracts are all about the details. |
