I saw an ad for a "Fixer Upper", what is that?

Fixer uppers are properties that are in need of repair or re-model. In Aspen properties built in the 70’s and 80’s are either ripe for a complete re-model or are considered tear-downs. They would be advertised as fixer uppers.
Real estate owners that know how to remodel homes can often make a profit from doing so. It has become a popular “past time” to buy properties in need of TLC and to sell them for a premium over the invested funds. Therefore demand for Fixer Uppers has increased and prices more often than not reflect the higher demand which dampens the profit possibilities associated with the modernization of such properties.
Once in a while something will come along that is worth looking at. If you would like to be alerted to such opportunities please get in contact with me to discuss further. |
