What if I want to change something in the contract?

Once a contract is signed you can not unilaterally change anything in the contract. If you like to change a contract detail you have to approach the seller with an Amend/Extend form. The seller has to agree to the changes for them to become effective. If the seller will not agree to a change request you can either terminate the contract or accept the contract as is.
Make sure that you request changes before the contract goes hard so that you can still back out of the contract if you need to. Most issues should have been addressed during the original contract drafting but changes sometimes need to be made and the better they are drafted and explained to the seller the more likely it is for them to be accepted.
